NBSC and MFCCII Lay Groundwork for “TABOAN” to Foster Innovation and Collaboration
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) and the Manolo Fortich Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Incorporated (MFCCII) convened an initial meeting to discuss the groundwork for a proposed partnership aimed at fostering innovation and collaboration through a series of activities under the banner “TABOAN” (Technology Adoption to Boost Opportunities and Network) on January 14, 2025.
The preliminary discussions at NBSC’s BoardRoom focused on formalizing the partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). The MOA will define both organizations’ roles, responsibilities, and shared goals, focusing on technology adaptation, resource-sharing, and mutual development.
The partnership centers on providing a platform where students and faculty can pitch innovative business ideas and seek potential partners or investors, thus its reference to the word ‘Taboan’. This initial meeting approved “TABOAN” as the initiative’s working title and adopted the six-series structure as the framework for future activities.
Attendees emphasized that this meeting marked the beginning of the process. Further discussions and follow-up meetings are scheduled to finalize the MOA, confirm activity timelines, and solidify the partnership details.
The partnership between NBSC and MFCCII promises to empower local talents by integrating academic innovation with industry opportunities. As the collaboration evolves, it is expected to serve as a model for fostering regional development through technology and entrepreneurship.
